Our first destination wedding was more beautiful than I could have expected. Our friends Candice and Ryan pulled off planning an amazing Hawaii wedding in only 2 months and managed to still have most of California show up. The location was absolutely breathtaking with the ocean and the mountains coming together to make a perfect spot for the biggest day of their lives. I am so glad you asked us to be there with you, I hope these pictures help you remember how beautiful your day was!

I love taking pictures of kids, they’re always all “whatever, just get this over with.” All they care about is getting done so they can take a nap or play with cars or something. Hunter was a real stud though; he stood still longer than I have ever seen a child stand still. It was seriously like 5 minutes of just staring at the lens, he didn’t even shuffle his feet or move his arms. It was a true miracle. It was that focus that made it a great shoot and helped me get some images I’m really happy with, thanks Nate and Regina for letting me hang with you guys for a little bit.

Well I was super excited when Y101 asked me to come out and take some pictures of the Sugar Ray, Vertical Horizon, Brooke White show a few weeks ago. There were so many great things about the show but I think the best was getting to meet Sugar (that’s what I call him). Now mind you, I’m not super into his music or really one to get all excited about meeting a “celebrity”, it was more about the satisfaction of knowing I was going to be able to hold something over my father-in-law who has a slight man crush on Sug. Well Mark, maybe I’ll give you a call next time Mr. Ray and I are hangin’ out. Thanks Nik and Nicole for asking me to come out to the show.

I love black and white photos, I just think they always look important. I love dark darks and light lights, that’s just me.
